IP telephony just as replacement for existing analog or ISDN telephony brings almost no use for the user. Only convergence and integration of voice, data and multimedia services make the advantages of an IP-based “unified communication” (UC) profitable for the users within the business sector. This results in better availability, faster business processes and therefore increased productivity.



The open system architecture of DATUS’ IP telephony solutions offers wide integrated UC features and open interfaces for integrating existing communication applications. Therefore, it offers the maximum flexibility and individual adaptability. Users are not forced to use given solutions of manufacturer specific systems, but rather unify given and new solutions to a “unified communication” system, which fits their needs and requirements.

Modules of the open DATUS UC solution are:



Media integration:

  • Integration of given telephony infrastructures (ISDN, GSM, PSTN)
  • “One numbering”: availability through one number (at the office, home office, on the way…)
  • “Fax to E-mail”: integrated fax servers, individual fax receiving for every employee at any place (as E-Mail)
  • IVR and “voice mail”: integrated voice-mail server, individual voice messages, forwarding as E-Mail message
  • Etc.


Presence information

  • Availability monitor – visual display of the availability of users, individual notifications for absence    
  • ACD – automatic distribution of caller to groups regarding their availability and further statistical interpretations
  • Initiation of conferences and forming of conference groups
  • Etc.


Context integration

  • Integration of existing ERP and/or CRM systems (e.g. MS-Outlook, Lotus-Notes, SAP,    Navision)
  • Integration of own ERP/CRM solutions over open interfaces
  • Utilization of global and private telephone directories
  • “Click to dial” through applications or telephone directories
  • Automatic display of customer information while calling
  • Etc.


Cooperation functions

  • Individually adjusted “application sharing” over open interfaces


DATUS strength can be found in mutual project planning with the customer, which creates individual adjusted UC solutions and results in a great acceptance and achieves great customer satisfaction , therefore it is the best qualification for a successful initiation of new solutions and processes.

Installation

DATUS Corp. offers an installation services as a "completely carefree package". The entire installation will be performed in place of the customer.

Maintenance

Furthermore, a Change-Management, as well as execution of rollouts, is offered. If required, DATUS Corp. will take charge of the planning.

Training center

The DATUS Training center is integrated within the main branch office in Aachen. At present it includes three training classrooms.
