| DATUS media gateways are designed for the connection of larger ISDN infrastructures (4 – 8 x E1) to VoIP networks and IP telephony systems. All systems support the ISDN protocols DSS-1 and Q.SIG. GateEngine systems can operate lots of further data channel protocols. Therefore these devices can interact with all famous manufacturers of classical ISDN telephony systems. When VoIP is used SIP and optionally H.323 can be supported. Moreover the systems offer miscellaneous codec, T.38 fax support as well as a transparent modus for fax, data and modem applications. The routing potential regarding voice transfer allows complex number manipulations. When number dialing, both, overlap receiving and block dialing are possible. Utilized as network access the media gateways support Ethernet (FE, GE) and optionally E3 and STM-1/STM-4. These products are especially suitable for integrating already existing telephony infrastructures into VoIP networks as well as a smooth migration from classical to IP telephony. |
